Immaculate Conception School Board
My fellow parishioners,
On the eve of the 100th Anniversary of our parish, Immaculate Conception School is at a crossroads. At a time when expenses continue to increase, enrollments continue to decline, and families consider alternatives to Catholic school education, we at IC are blessed with a school with students excelling academically, sports teams winning championships, and parents who continue to become involved.
While new members bring new ideas and energy, we cannot do the work of the School Board alone. We need your prayers. We need your ideas. We need your talents.
The nine elected members of the School Board chair numerous committees - from Athletics to Finance, from Maintenance to Public Relations. It is on these committees where the "work" of the School Board gets done. It is in these committees where YOU can be of assistance. You see, there are opportunities for involvement where you do not have to run for office, you do not have to be elected, you do not have to serve for a specific period of time.
It is in these committees where you can volunteer your ideas and talents as your schedule allows—whether attending a meeting to share your ideas, helping gather information needed to implement a new policy or project, or actually working on a new system or program for the school. Areas where particular assistance will be needed include Technology, Communications, Marketing, Curriculum Development, and Future Planning. No matter what your level involvement, all your contributions will help make IC the best it can be.
Below you will find a list of all the School Board members and the various committees on which they serve. If you have ideas or talents you would like to share, please contact one of us. All mature adults (over 18) are invited to become involved. You don't have to have children attending IC—you don't even have to have children! All we ask for is you be willing to share and pitch in.
While IC school stands at a crossroads, we are moving forward from a solid foundation, moved by the Spirit, and sustained by your prayers, ideas, and talents. Remember, if it's important to you, then it's important to the IC School Board.
