Welcome to the revised IC Parish Center Website!

Thanks to the continuing contributions and efforts of the IC Parish Community, the IC Parish is enjoying a renovated and restored Church. As many of you are aware, the IC Parish started the “Sharing Christ’s Gifts” fundraising campaign in 2001. Phase 1 of this campaign (remodeling/restoration of Immaculate Conception Church) is complete.

It is with great anticipation that we present Phase 2 of the “Building Our Future” campaign.

Phase 2 of the campaign revolves around the new IC Parish Center. After researching the various potential locations among the IC campus, the new IC Parish Center has found a home between the existing IC Convent and the IC School (Go Cowboys!) This location has the following advantage points:

The location does not interfere with the existing parking layout (east and west lot). The location allows for a seamless integration with the existing school. The location allows for use of the existing convent structure, thereby saving construction cost.

To date, the IC Parish Building Committee has collected enough money, pledges and anonymous donations to begin planning and executing the IC Parish Center. With the capital raised (including pledges) the I.C. Parish Building Committee is planning to erect a $1.8 million dollar Parish Center. This value is after the fact that the Parish has already paid for the additional land required satisfying the City of Chicago Zoning Board for the FAR (Floor Area Requirements) and Parking Requirements. Thank you Jesus!

The preliminary drawings below highlight just a few of the many benefits the Parish Center will provide. These include, but are not limited to:

• Handicap accessibility into the IC Parish Center with future handicap access into the I.C. school.
• Full service kitchen with separate service entry.
• Perpetual Adoration Chapel
• IHSA regulation sized gymnasium/multi-purpose room
• Raised 2nd Story Walking Track
• Large stage for Community and School productions/assemblies
• Multiple meeting rooms for the various Parish Organizations:
• Increased storage capacity

In short, the IC Parish Center has something for everyone.

Within the next few weeks and/or months, you’ll notice a variety of service vehicles and servicemen on or about the IC Campus. These servicemen will be taking soil samples, site surveys, asbestos samples, etc. These items are necessary for the proper planning/design of the IC Parish Center.

Please watch the bulletin each week for further updates and/or bookmark this site. The IC Parish Center website will be revised as the project crosses the various milestone dates during the design phases, or as needed.
